Activity #2 - Observe
Now that you have made some predictions and had a chance to look at some other people's predictions it is time to see what the Louvre has to offer to its visitors!
You will be visiting the Louvre tomorrow. You will have 8 hours there and in that time must try and see as much as possible that the museum has to offer to its visitors. This may be a once in a lifetime experience for some of you! There are currently 10 collections at the Museum and your teacher has asked you to visit at least 8 of them.
You will arrive at the Louvre at 9:00 am. Once you arrive you will be split into groups of 3 students and one chaperone. Each group will be given a tour guide; however, since there is so much to see the tour guide requires a plan about what you most want to see at the museum. Using the planning information guide that is provided below your task is to create a day plan/schedule as to how you will spend your time while at the Louvre. When you are creating the schedule you must not only write the collection you want to see but also the specific exhibits and pieces that you would like to see in that area. Remember to include some time to eat lunch or else you will have no energy to see all the amazing things the Louvre has to offer.
Create your day plan in either a word document or as a pdf document and be sure to save it as you are working.
Reminder: This planing information document is written completely in French. This is a good way for you to practice your vocabulary and to use a real authentic document to help you in furthering your understanding of the French language. Feel free to use a translator when needed if you are unsure of certain words or phrases. Your schedule/day plan must also be written in French and must use the vocabulary from the planning guide below whenever possible. Remember to think about verb tenses and subject-verb agreements when creating your schedule

Congratulations! You have now completed Activity #2! Were any of your predictions correct about what you thought you might see at the Louvre Museum? Were there any big surprises about collections and exhibits that they are showing at the Museum? How do some of these objects depict French culture or the culture of other societies? As you complete Activity #3 keep these questions in mind as you will be asked to discuss them at the end of this assignment.
